dimc problem 2 week

Today we worked in our dimc groups to solve this problem when you find a fraction fo a number the first thing you need to do is to divide the number by the denominator .

First wach wroked out that 105 divide by 7 was 15 most of us drew 7 circles we counted in 10s 7 time and then in 5s and that made 105 which left 15 in each group

The next step is to take the number 15 and time it by the numerator which was 4 15 x4 =60

60 mussels could be taken by the fisherman 4/7 of 105 is 60 mussels

Something in the water

This term we are learning about species of fish like flounder or snapper. This is our brainstorm we did as a class. I want to learn about lots of colourful fish.

I think next time I could work better with my group and share more of my ideas. The maths was a little bit tricky but I tried it and it was fun. We were learning how to find a fraction of a number. The fraction was 2/6. The number was 366.

A Healthy Lifestyle
